The region



Paços de Ferreira, in the north of Portugal, is known as the "Capital of Furniture" for its furniture industry. It combines urban and rural areas, has historical heritage sites such as Castro de Sanfins and offers a rich gastronomy with typical dishes such as roast kid. It is located close to Oporto and stands out for its cultural and commercial tourism.



Monastery of São Pedro de Ferreira



Located in the parish of Ferreira, it is considered one of the jewels of the Terras de Sousa heritage, interpreting the well-known Romanesque Route, and is an impressive testimony to 12th century architecture.

Citânia de Sanfins



Located on a plateau in the parish of Sanfins de Ferreira, it is one of the main remains of the Castro culture in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, occupying around 18 hectares.

Archaeological Museum of Citânia de Sanfins



Located in the parish of Sanfins de Ferreira, near Citânia de Sanfins, it is housed in a baroque building known as Casa da Igreja or Solar dos Brandões.
